The Orientation Program for Shell Eco-Marathon was held by Association of Mechanical Engineering Students in Turbine Testing Lab Auditorium on 29th April 2018. The program was conducted for the providing all the information about Shell Eco-Marathon, previous team and their works to all the students of Department of Mechanical Engineering Students.
Shell Eco-Marathon is a platform for young innovative minds to form a team and build up a team to create a vehicle that runs most distance at less fuel. Association of Mechanical Engineering Students gives the platform in Kathmandu University to form the team and participate in the marathon. Association of Mechanical Engineering Students started participating in the marathon since 2016 by forming a team named Charichucche.
The program was initiated by Mr. Rachan Puri and later taken over by Mr. Ranjeet Kafle, both of whom were part of the team formed last year. Later on, Mr. Keshav Verma, who was also a part of that team shared his experience working with the team last year. The program was thought to be a successful one by the number of students seen in the program. There was a lot of interaction between the participants of the program and the team members of Charichucche.
