Chess Tournament was conducted by Association of Mechanical Engineering Students as a part of AMES INDOOR CUP 2018 from 21st to 29th July 2018. The Indoor Cup: Chess Tournament was conducted in social hall which is the best venue in Kathmandu University for conducting indoor games. The matches were scheduled for 4:15 to 5:45 PM so that the classes would not be disturbed.
The first day of the respective cup was initiated by Mr. Biswash Gautam (Table Tennis Coordinator) and Gyatabya Singh (Badminton Coordinator). Only few games were held on that day and from the next day involvement of participants increased by double and the game was smoothly performed. About 50 students participated in the tournament and about 30 matches were conducted in total.

AMES would like to congratulate all the winners and thank all the students for their participation directly and indirectly. AMES would also like to thank Mr. Surat Mahat and Mr. Shrayash Pradhan Coordinators of the Chess Tournament for their wonderful management and works to organize this tournament. Participation of volunteers and their fruitful work was also clearly seen there for which AMES is very grateful among those students. Finally the cup ended peacefully.
