One Day Workshop on General Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Two-Wheeler organized by AMES to promote Junkiri

Association of Mechanical Engineering Students (AMES) organized a one-day workshop for two-wheeler riders to train them to maintain motorbikes and scooters as well as to troubleshoot general problems they face day to day while riding. The program was successfully organized on 30th September, Sunday, conducted in two sessions; the first was for the mechanical portion in the morning and the second one was to deliver on electrical part in the rest of the day till 4 pm. Inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Hari Prasad Neopane, HOD of DoME, the program was held at Technical Training Centre (TTC), Kathmandu University. Participants looked contented to have hands on experience in an organized and well scheduled sessions throughout the program. They were trained to use some common tools to troubleshoot usual problems regarding engine, battery, fuel lines and fuel tank, Dashboard etc.

We are happy to bring this program among the students and train them by experienced trainers we have at TTC and thankful to participants for making the program successful, said Mr. Sagar Thapa, Junkiri team coordinator. The program was conducted with the motive of raising fund for the making of a fuel-efficient prototype vehicle we are working on for Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2019 he added. Trainees seemed satisfied by the program when they were asked for feedback at the closing and certification ceremony and showed expectation for these kind of training to come in the future too.
